New Works School Low Moor:

The school was built in 1869 and was a Church of England School in the Parish of St Mark's Low Moor. It closed after it was damaged in the Low Moor Munitions Explosion of 21st August 1916.  The brick building is still standing at the junction of New Works Road and Dealburn Road.  For many years it was industrial premises but latterly was used as a garage.
